If you are going to sell any type of sex toys I beg you to PLEASE, notate the following information on your site:
Material-What type of material is this toy made of? Some of us have allergies to toy materials or prefer to only own toys that can be sterilized. I myself am allergic to jelly, latex, cyberskin, rubber and many other materials. Most of my toy collection is made up of silicone or glass I have a few plastic bullets but other then that its jelly, latex, cyberskin, rubber free!!!! If I don't know what the material is I won't get it for the fear of it being a material I can't or won't use. I like my toys to be nonporous just as many others do as well.
Size-Please list the measurements of the toy I for one want to know how long a toy is and how much of its length is insertable. Girth or diameter so I know how THICK/WIDE the toy is. I can't use ginormous toys and would be pissed if I ordered a toy in hopes that I could use it but in the end couldn't as it was TOO BIG for me to use.
Manufacture-Who manufactures the toy, while it may make me sound like a toy snob I really am not. I do however, prefer some companies over others but I am of course willing to try new things.
Replacement Parts-If an item has to have items replaced to make it continue to work like these interesting "self lubricating" toys. I can find the toys all over but can never find out where to get the lube refill packs.
If you are a wholesale site please have a few links where your items can be purchased from, I have seen some items on sites that I would love to have but have no clue where to find them or I have to search for them high and low.
While we all know I am up to trying new things as I am a sex toy reviewer I still like to know the size and material of the items I will be receiving so I can either accept or decline the items before they are sent. If its an item I can't use due to size or material I don't want to snag it up if I am not going to use it or enjoy it. When it comes to this case, I would rather decline that item or let the company know I mainly only review and use glass or silicone. In this instance as well if I decline the item because I won't get use out of it, it means the item is there for someone else who isn't so picky about the material they use when it comes to sex toys.
I am pretty sure I am not the only one who feels this way when it comes to sex toys that are on the market. I will admit when I started using toys, I knew nothing about materials. I knew nothing about the possibilities of chemicals being released from my toys. I could never figure out why jelly toys smelled so horrible when I got them or why they were slimy upon receiving them. Now I know that those toy materials are on the lower end of the if the toy material scale. Rubber, jelly, latex, TPR, cyberskin just to name a few are all POROUS materials meaning they absorb your bodily fluids. These materials can't be sterilized in any way shape or form. If you are prone to infections you either need to use a condom or purchase Silicone, Metal or Glass as those items can be sterilized an aren't porous. If you have an infection and use jelly, TPR, rubber, cyberskin or any other porous material you might as well chalk it up as a once use toy since it will suck the infection right into the material as well. There is no way to get those bodily fluids out. If you choose to keep the toy and you get your infection cleared up you can reinfect yourself very easily but using the same toy you used while you have the infection if it can't be sterilized.
Some materials such as jelly can cause chemical burns, which is one reason I try to stay away from them. I have experienced this and it isn't fun at all. So be aware of the material your toys are made of before purchasing them or getting them for reviewing purposes. While some swear by the toys made of the lower grade material that is fine, by no means am I knocking the fact that you enjoy that type of material. I just know I can't and won't use anything less then Silicone. If you find a toy review of items made of TPR, jelly, cyberskin or rubber on my blog it was before I knew anything about what could be in toy materials. I have been offered some TPR toys that are suppose to be body safe and phthalates free. Will I give them a whirl sure, but if I have a reaction or something I will include that in my blog. I will always note the material and measurements if I can find out what they are made of an I will take measurements of my own if I am unable to find them on the web.
I will also say that if you are working for a home party company please seek out training or search the web for information on the materials your toys are made of. I use to sell sex toys long before I knew all I know now about materials. I wish I knew all of this back then so I could have been successful and sell high quality toys instead of the nasty jelly toys that smell way worse then a new shower curtain.
Happy reviewing
